Promoting Low Brass in the Greater Lansing Area.

Capital Area Tubas is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting skill with and awareness of the tuba and related instruments by organizing performances such as TUBACHRISTMAS and other opportunities for musicians of all ages and abilities in the greater Lansing area.

While low brass instruments like tuba, euphonium, and baritone are the foundation of many of the ensembles they’re part of, they rarely get the sort of specific exposure & focus that more widely played instruments do. Our goal is to help ensure that the public has the opportunity to hear these instruments highlighted in performance, and that musicians of all ages playing these instruments have opportunities to expand theirs skills, take part in unique performance opportunities, and network with their fellow musicians.
